How to Get Home After Clubbing in London: Every Big Club Matched to Its Night Tube and Night Bus
Night Tube lines, night buses and last options for fabric, Ministry, Egg, Drumsheds, E1, FOLD, KOKO and more, checked against TfL data.

Getting home after a London club night comes down to one question: is there a Night Tube or Night Overground station within about ten minutes' walk of the door, and if not, which night bus stops outside it. The Night Tube runs on Friday and Saturday nights only, on the Central, Jubilee, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines, and the Windrush line runs a night Overground between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate on the same nights. Everything else, and every weeknight, is night buses, 24-hour bus routes or a cab. A journey planner answers that badly at 4am on 3% battery, so this page does it the other way round: every major London club matched to its nearest night train, the night buses near the door and the last option, checked against TfL's own maps, timetables and stop data.
Getting home at a glance
- Night Tube: Friday and Saturday nights only, on five lines. On weeknights there are no Tube or Overground trains overnight, only buses.
- Night Overground: the Windrush line, Highbury & Islington to New Cross Gate, every 15 minutes, same two nights.
- No night trains at: Farringdon (fabric), Elephant & Castle (Ministry of Sound), Old Street (XOYO) and Meridian Water (Drumsheds).
- Before you go in: check TfL's planned closures. Several November weekends lose night trains.
Travel is not a side issue. The NTIA and NIQ Night Time Economy Market Monitor of 22 September 2026 found that 30% of people who now go out earlier cite travel issues. It is part of why the biggest rooms close early, the story in why London's biggest raves finish at 10:30pm.
The night trains, line by line
TfL's own service levels, from its September 2026 Night Tube map, its published frequencies and current timetables.
- Victoria: Walthamstow Central to Brixton, every 10 minutes.
- Jubilee: Stanmore to Stratford, every 10 minutes.
- Central: every 10 minutes between White City and Leytonstone, every 20 minutes on to Ealing Broadway, Loughton and Hainault.
- Piccadilly: Cockfosters to Heathrow Terminal 5, every 10 minutes.
- Northern: the Charing Cross branch only, every 8 minutes between Morden and Camden Town and every 15 minutes on to Edgware and High Barnet. The Bank branch, which serves Elephant & Castle, Borough, Old Street and Angel, has no night trains.
- Windrush line: Highbury & Islington to New Cross Gate every 15 minutes, via Dalston Junction, Hoxton, Shoreditch High Street, Whitechapel, Shadwell, Wapping and Canada Water.
Club by club: the getting-home table
Night buses are those TfL's timetables show running overnight from stops a few minutes from each venue. "24-hour" means a day route kept running overnight, often every 30 minutes. Walking times are my map estimates.

| fabric, Charterhouse Street, EC1 | Farringdon: no night service | Central line at Chancery Lane or St Paul's, about 10 minutes' walk | N8 and N25 every 10 minutes from the City Thameslink stop; N63, N242, N55; 24-hour 341, 243 and 76 | Walk away from the door for a cab, as fabric asks |
| Ministry of Sound, Gaunt Street, SE1 | Elephant & Castle: no night trains; the station opens around 05:30 on Saturdays and 07:00 on Sundays | Jubilee at Southwark (about 12 minutes) or Northern at Kennington (about 15 to 20) | N133 and N155 to Morden, N63, N53, N1, N171, N343, N68, N89; 24-hour 12, 35, 148, 176 and 453 | Staffed waiting area opposite the gate; taxi spaces on Gaunt Street |
| Egg LDN, Vale Royal, N7 | Caledonian Road or King's Cross St Pancras | Piccadilly at Caledonian Road (about 10 minutes); Victoria and Piccadilly at King's Cross (about 15) | 390 runs 24 hours along York Way; N91 from Caledonian Road & Barnsbury | On Wednesdays, the 390 and N91 are the options short of a cab |

| E1, Pennington Street, Wapping, E1W | Wapping, about five minutes; Shadwell | Windrush line night Overground at Wapping or Shadwell, every 15 minutes | N551 from Tobacco Dock on The Highway; N15 (about every 8 minutes) and N550 from Commercial Road | No Windrush night service on 27 and 28 November |
| FOLD, Stephenson Street, Canning Town, E16 | Canning Town, about 10 minutes | Jubilee at Canning Town, every 10 minutes | N15 and N551 from Stephenson Street; 24-hour 69 and 474 from Rathbone Market | Finish times vary, so check the listing |
| Ironworks, Scarab Close, E16 | Canning Town (15 minutes) or West Silvertown DLR (10) | Not needed on current listings: shows finish at 22:00 | Not needed for a 22:00 finish | Normal evening Jubilee, DLR and Elizabeth line services |
| XOYO, Cowper Street, EC2A | Old Street: Northern line Bank branch, no night trains | Windrush at Shoreditch High Street (about 10 minutes) or Central at Liverpool Street (about 12) | N205, N55, N263; 24-hour 243 (every 15 minutes), 214, 43, 76 and 35 | Stops at Old Street station and on City Road |
| KOKO, Camden High Street, NW1 | Mornington Crescent, directly opposite | Northern at Mornington Crescent or Camden Town | N29 every 10 minutes, N279, N253, N5, N20, N27; 24-hour 24, 134 and 214 | Club nights take last entry at 03:00 |
| Phonox and Electric Brixton, Brixton | Brixton | Victoria at Brixton, every 10 minutes | From the Brixton Road stops: N2, N3, N109, N133, N250; 24-hour 35, 159 and 345 | The easiest exit in this table |
| Heaven, Villiers Street, WC2 | Charing Cross or Embankment | Northern at Charing Cross or Embankment, every 8 minutes | Trafalgar Square, a few minutes' walk, is served by dozens of night routes, including N29, N15, N87, N155, N9 and N91 | The central night bus hub |
One extra line on Drumsheds: most of its Saturdays finish at 22:30, while trains still run, and for late Fridays the shuttle and the Victoria line are the plan. The full routine is in the Drumsheds season guide; whether the trip is worth it is a separate question.
November weekends when the night service is cut

TfL's planned closures list, as published on 25 September 2026, cuts the night network on these November weekends. Closures change, so check again on the day.
- Friday 6 November: no Jubilee line between West Hampstead and Stanmore during the Friday Night Tube.
- Friday 13 November: no Northern line between Charing Cross and Morden during the Friday Night Tube. That takes out Kennington for Ministry and Charing Cross and Embankment for Heaven.
- Saturday 14 November: no Northern line between Morden and East Finchley and Golders Green during the Saturday Night Tube, which includes Mornington Crescent and Camden Town for KOKO.
- 21 and 22 November: no Piccadilly line between Hammersmith and Heathrow, including both Night Tube nights.
- 27 and 28 November: no Windrush line night Overground between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate on either night, which is E1's night train.
- Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November: no Hammersmith & City line at all, no Circle between Hammersmith and Tower Hill, no Metropolitan between Baker Street and Aldgate, and no Elizabeth line through central London. Farringdon has no Tube or Elizabeth line that weekend, so fabric's crowd on the 28th should head for the Central line and the buses.
Weeknights, and the realistic last options
The Night Tube is a Friday and Saturday thing, and London's clubs are not. Egg runs Wednesdays to 04:00, Ministry Tuesdays to 04:00 and fabric Sundays to 04:00, with no night trains on any of those nights. The bus is the plan, not the backup: the 390 for Egg, the Elephant & Castle routes for Ministry, the N8, N25, 341 and 243 for fabric. The fabric vs Ministry of Sound comparison covers both areas.
Cabs are the last option, and the venues say how. fabric asks people not to wait at the entrance and to walk a little way off for shorter waits. Ministry has taxi spaces on Gaunt Street and a staffed waiting area opposite the gate. Drumsheds has a taxi rank and private hire pick-up point on site. Pick your spot before you go in, not at 05:55 with everyone else.
My rules for the journey home
- Plan it before you queue. Know your line or bus number and screenshot it.
- Walk ten minutes to a train rather than wait twenty for a car. From fabric, Chancery Lane is closer than it feels.
- Book the Drumsheds shuttle in advance. It is cheaper, and on-the-day tickets are singles only.
- Pick the club by its exit. A Victoria line room like Phonox or a Jubilee line room like FOLD gives you a train every ten minutes; a Bank-branch club gives you a bus stop. A 3am cab from Tottenham also changes the maths in what a London night out costs.
