A State of Trance London 2026 at Drumsheds: Line-Up, Times and the 25-Year Story
ASOT London at Drumsheds, 14 November 2026, 13:00 to 22:30: Armin van Buuren F2F Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, and 25 years of the show.

A State of Trance London lands at Drumsheds on Saturday 14 November 2026, 13:00 to 22:30, across all three rooms, billed as the first indoor ASOT festival ever held in the UK, with Armin van Buuren headlining, a face-to-face set with Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, Andrew Rayel and Ruben de Ronde on the bill, in the brand's 25th year. Trance has not had a room this size in London in a generation, and the last time it filled one it was Ministry of Sound's The Gallery on a Friday. This is the guide: the line-up as the venue lists it, what ASOT actually is after 25 years and more than a thousand radio episodes, why a 14,999-capacity former IKEA is the right and wrong place for it, and how to do a nine-hour trance day without losing the plot.

The line-up, as Drumsheds lists it
The venue lists the bill alphabetically rather than by room: Amber Broos b2b Lawton, Andrew Rayel presents Extasia, Arielle, Armin van Buuren, Armin van Buuren F2F Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ben Hemsley, Cosmic Gate, Dan Harrison, Deveraux, Ferry Corsten, Funk Tribu, Gia, Jordan Tilstone, Luvstruck, MDDLTN, Mode, Olive Anguz, Pegassi, River, Ruben De Ronde, Sarah de Warren, Sophie Sugar, The Rocketman, Thick as Thieves and Will Atkinson.
Read it in three layers. The ASOT core is Armin, his radio co-hosts Ruben de Ronde and Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate and Andrew Rayel with his Extasia concept; that is the show as it tours the world, and the Armin face-to-face with Giuseppe Ottaviani, two men at one set of decks trading records, is the booking that will fill the X Room. The British layer is Ben Hemsley, Will Atkinson, Sophie Sugar and The Rocketman, the names who have kept trance alive in UK clubs through the years the big rooms ignored it. And the fast layer, Funk Tribu and the younger names on the list, is the 150 BPM end where trance and hard techno have started to overlap, the crossover I mapped in the hard techno autumn guide. Room splits had not been published at the time of writing; expect the core in X and the fast end in Y or Z.
What A State of Trance is, 25 years in

ASOT started as a radio show. Episode 001 went out on ID&T Radio on Friday 1 June 2001, the first three episodes were called Into Trance, and from episode 004 the name stuck. Armin van Buuren, born 25 December 1976 in Leiden, who studied law at Leiden University and had already released records as Rising Star, hosted it from the start, and it has run weekly ever since: episode 1000 aired in January 2021 with an anthem called Turn The World Into A Dancefloor, and the show now reaches, by its own estimate, 40 million listeners in more than 84 countries from its studio in Amsterdam, with Ruben de Ronde and Ferry Corsten as co-hosts. Out of the radio show came the label and the events, the annual ASOT festival in the Netherlands and the touring editions that have taken the brand to arenas on every continent. The flagship festival now lives at Rotterdam Ahoy, where the next edition is on 26 and 27 February 2027; ASOT bills the London date as its 25th anniversary celebration in the UK, and the first time the festival format has been staged indoors in this country. It is not ASOT's first UK night: the ASOT 550 "Invasion" tour opened at Ministry of Sound on 1 March 2012.
Armin himself is the least complicated superstar in dance music: five times number one in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, a fixture of Ibiza's summers, and a set that has not materially changed its promise since 2001, which is that the melody will land on time. That consistency is exactly what a 25th anniversary sells, and it is what the trance crowd, one of the most loyal in the genre, turns up for.
Trance in London: The Gallery, and the long gap
London has a trance institution and it is not a big room: The Gallery, the long-running trance night at Ministry of Sound, the place the sound lived through the years when fabric and the warehouses looked the other way. The fabric vs Ministry of Sound comparison covers the club itself. What London has not had is trance at scale: Ministry of Sound's premises licence caps the whole club at 1,555 people, and the ASOT touring show is built for ten times that. Drumsheds, at 14,999 across three rooms, is the only building in the city that can host the format as it is designed, with the production, the screens and the sightlines, which is why the first UK indoor edition is here rather than at a club. The Drumsheds pillar has the room sizes; the season guide has the price and door detail for every date around it.
The 13:00 to 22:30 problem, and why it suits trance
A Drumsheds Saturday finishes before the last tube, for the reasons in why London's biggest raves finish at 10:30pm, and for most genres that compresses the peak into the last two hours. Trance is the exception. It is built for daylight festivals, for the big outdoor mainstages where the drop lands at 6pm with the sun still up, and a 13:00 start with the headliners in the evening is closer to the ASOT festival format at Rotterdam Ahoy than a 4am club would be. Expect the day to build the way the radio show does: the newer names early, the British core through the afternoon, Corsten and Cosmic Gate as the room fills, the face-to-face and Armin's own set as the lights go down. If you are travelling for it, the November 2026 club calendar has what else is on that weekend, including Klangkuenstler's schranz night at The Warehouse Project the same evening, which is the opposite end of the same 140-plus spectrum.
How to do ASOT London
- Buy on the official channel and buy early. ASOT touring dates sell to a global fanbase, and the Drumsheds tiers rise as they fill. VIP tables are the only alternative once general tiers go.
- Plan the day, not the night. Doors at one, headliners in the evening, out by half ten. Eat first, arrive by mid-afternoon for the British layer, and treat the last three hours as the show.
- Pick a room for the peak. The face-to-face and Armin will be in the biggest room; if you want to see the decks rather than the screens, be in position an hour before, because 10,000 people will have the same idea.
- Earplugs, still. Trance is melodic, and it is also loud, and the refit d&b audiotechnik system at Drumsheds is not shy.
- Get home. Meridian Water station is five minutes on foot; the £5 return shuttle runs to Tottenham Hale for the Victoria line. A 22:30 close means the trains are running.
A DJ's honest read
I play house, garage and minimal, and trance is not my room, which is why I can say the following without a stake in it: ASOT is the most disciplined live brand in dance music. The radio show has done the same thing every week for 25 years, the events deliver the show the radio promises, and the crowd knows every record. What a warehouse in Tottenham adds is scale and what it takes away is the club intimacy that The Gallery has. For a first UK indoor edition, that trade is the right one: the point of a 25th anniversary is to be seen by as many people as possible, and 14,999 is the number London can offer. Whether it becomes an annual date depends on how many of them come back. My guess, watching the way the fast end of trance has merged with the Terminal V crowd this year, is that it will.
