Glastonbury 2027: Dates, Tickets, Registration and Where the Dance Music Is

Glastonbury 2027 runs from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 June 2027. Registration closed at 5pm on Friday 25 September; coach and ticket packages go on sale at 6pm on Thursday 1 October, and general admission tickets at 9am on Sunday 4 October at £408. After a fallow year in 2026 the demand for this one will be heavy, and for anyone who goes to Worthy Farm for the dance side rather than the Pyramid, the stakes are higher still: 2027 is the first chance since 2025 to see Block9, Arcadia and Silver Hayes at full strength. Glastonbury 2027 at a glance

Registration closed on 25 September: what to do now

Registration is the part people forget until the sale morning, and by then it is too late: no registration number, no ticket. The window shut at 5pm on Friday 25 September, nine days before the general sale, and the festival says it will not reopen until after the October sales. If you and your group registered, collect everyone's registration numbers and postcodes, including anyone who is 13 or over on 23 June 2027, and write them down somewhere shared, because on 4 October whoever gets through the queue will need to enter them for everyone they are buying for. Six per transaction is the cap, so a group of eight needs two people who both get through.

If you registered for an earlier festival you are still registered and did not need to register again, but check your registration on the festival's site: the photo has to be a good likeness, because it is printed on the ticket and checked at the gate.

The two sales, and why the coach one is the smart one

There are two sales, three days apart, and the first is the one most people ignore. Coach and ticket packages go on sale at 6pm on Thursday 1 October. They bundle the festival ticket with a return coach from a named UK city, they sell to the same overwhelming demand but from a smaller pool, and for years they have been the route most likely to actually work for a group who can commit to leaving from, say, London Victoria or Manchester at a set time. You give up the flexibility of driving; you gain a materially better chance. If you live in a city with a coach departure and you are serious, this is your first attempt, not your fallback.

General admission is 9am on Sunday 4 October. The mechanics are familiar to anyone who has tried before: you are placed in a queue on the official ticket site, you need the registration numbers and postcodes for everyone, you need the payment card ready, and you need patience. Practical rules that have not changed: one person per household on one device does not increase your odds as much as several people in different places all trying for the same group; do not refresh a page that is loading; and once someone in the group is through, the rest stop and let them buy. The festival sells out in well under an hour in a normal year, and 2027 is not a normal year.

If you miss both, there is a resale in the spring. Every deposit that is not paid off in the 1 to 7 April balance window goes back into the pool and is resold, usually in April, with the same registration rules. It is smaller than the main sale but it is real, and it is the only legitimate second chance: there is no secondary market, because a ticket with your face on it is worthless to anyone else.

Where the dance music is: start from the 2025 map

The reason to look at 2025 closely is that it is the most recent festival, and until the 2027 programme is announced it is the best guide to where the electronic music will be. Three areas matter if you go for DJs rather than bands.

Block9 is the late-night electronic district in the south-east corner, and in 2025 it ran four venues: IICON, the giant head with the projected face, Genosys, the brutalist tower, The NYC Downlow, the queer disco in a fake meatpacking warehouse, and The Meat Rack. The 2025 bill was the one the rest of the site talks about: Nia Archives (DJ set), Cybotron, Pearson Sound, Benji B, Deep Dish playing a classic house set, Craig Richards, Seth Troxler, Blawan, Two Shell, Shanti Celeste, Prosumer and Shyboi, plus a new twin-venue Daytime Block Party across Genosys and The NYC Downlow, with Jayda G, Derrick Carter, Don Letts, Hot Chip and Fatboy Slim on the Saturday. It is the closest Glastonbury gets to a proper club, and the queues after midnight tell you everyone knows it.

Arcadia is the Dragonfly, the stage built from an ex-military Royal Navy helicopter that returned for 2025 with stronger laser wings and new rings of flame, with its mobile cousin, the Bug, roaming the site. The 2025 Arcadia programme was built on back-to-backs: Annie Mac with Jamz Supernova, Michael Bibi with Solomun, Shy FX with Eats Everything, Groove Armada with Jungle, Job Jobse with Palms Trax, Basslayerz with Born on Road. It also had Four Tet, Sonny Fodera, Max Cooper, Girls Don't Sync, Optimo, Hannah Wants, Romy and Danny Howard in the cockpit. Arcadia is the festival's big-room moment; if you want a drop with fire, this is it.

Silver Hayes is the dance village in the middle of the site, five music stages in 2025: The Levels, the Lonely Hearts Club, Assembly, the Firmly Rooted Soundsystem and Floating Points' new Sunflower Sound System, and it is where the UK's own club music lives at Glastonbury. The 2025 highlights were Confidence Man back-to-back with Job Jobse, Palms Trax, Romy with HAAi, Goldie, Jungle, Marie Davidson, Fatboy Slim, Amelie Lens, 4am Kru, Hitech, Crazy P, Shanti Celeste with Call Super, Verraco, Bradley Zero, Sherelle, Mia Koden and Yung Singh. None of the 2027 line-ups exist yet; the first headliners usually land in the spring and the dance areas announce in May and June. Until then, the 2025 areas are the best guide to where to spend your nights.

A DJ's honest read on Glastonbury for dance music

Glastonbury is the strangest big festival for electronic music, because it is not a dance festival and yet it has one of the best dance programmes in Europe hidden inside it. The trade-off is scale and walking. Block9 to Arcadia is a long way in mud at 2am; Silver Hayes is central but shuts earlier than the south-east corner. The people who have the best weekend are the ones who pick a home area each night rather than chasing set times across the site. The people who have the worst are the ones who treat it like a Warehouse Project line-up and try to see everything.

The other honest thing: £408 is a lot, and it is £408 before travel, food and five days of everything else. For the same money you could do Ibiza's closing weekend or most of a Drumsheds season. What you cannot buy anywhere else is the specific thing Glastonbury does at 3am in Block9, where a crowd that spent the afternoon watching a band is now losing it to Blawan under a giant concrete head. That is the reason to sit in the queue on 4 October, and it is a good one.
