Awakenings ADE 2026: Where Sugarfactory Is, All Eight Shows, Set Times and the Last Train
Awakenings ADE 2026 is eight shows at Sugarfactory in Halfweg, opposite the station. Five were sold out in mid October. Set times, trains, house rules.

Awakenings ADE 2026 is eight shows from Wednesday 21 to Monday morning 26 October at Sugarfactory, Kristalpromenade 7, Halfweg, just outside Amsterdam and opposite Halfweg-Zwanenburg station, and five of the eight were sold out at the time of writing (mid October 2026). Halfweg sits between Amsterdam and Haarlem, about ten minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal. That matters if you leave a night show early: no night train or night bus runs back. For the rest of the week, read our full ADE 2026 guide.

Where is Awakenings ADE 2026?
Sugarfactory is a former sugar refinery on the SugarCity site in Halfweg, a village in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, North Holland. The venue dates the building to 1863, and Wikipedia records CSM running the factory from 1919 until it closed in the 1990s. Awakenings moved its ADE shows here in 2025, billed on the venue's site as "the first and only promoter to host a techno event in this historic space". The shows are in the official ADE programme, but the address is not Amsterdam.
Sprinter trains from Amsterdam Centraal stop at Sloterdijk and reach Halfweg-Zwanenburg in about ten minutes, with the venue across the road. The last trains in arrive just after 01:00, or at 01:36 on Friday and Saturday nights.

The clock change and Adriatique's five and a half hours
The clocks go back at 03:00 on Sunday 25 October, to 02:00. The Adriatique page still lists Adriatique from 01:30 to 07:00, with a note: "Due to the clocks going back one hour during the night, Adriatique will play for 5.5 hours, even though the event officially ends at 06:00 instead of 07:00." The night lasts eight hours like the other Awakenings nights, but the hour from 02:00 to 03:00 happens twice, so your phone says 06:00 at the end. Five and a half hours is the longest slot of the eight shows.
With no entry in the last two hours, the door should close at 04:00 on the new clock. That is my reading, not a published time, so do not cut it fine. The 06:00 finish meets the 06:25 Sunday train; the next is 07:25. UK clocks go back the same night.
Getting to Sugarfactory and back
| Option | When | What to know |
| Last train back | 00:55 Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights; 01:24 Friday and Saturday nights | Only useful if you leave early; there is no re-entry |
| First train back | 05:39 Thursday, Friday and Monday mornings; 06:25 Saturday and Sunday | After a 07:00 finish there is a train at 07:09 |
| N80 night bus | Friday and Saturday nights, from Leidseplein at about 01:10, 02:10, 03:10 and 04:10 | Outbound only, Leidseplein to Halfweg station in about 23 minutes. Nothing runs back |
| Taxi | Dedicated taxi stand, follow the signs | Illegal taxis are "prohibited and can result in high fines" |
| Pre-booked pick-up | Separate area for Uber and similar | Follow the "Pre-booked Transport" signs |
| Car | Parking EUR 12.50, advance only | No parking without a ticket; the outlet garage is not for Awakenings guests |
Stay to the end and the trains work. Leave in the small hours and you need a taxi or a pre-booked car: no train or bus runs back until morning. These times come from the national timetable feed of 12 October; check the NS app or 9292 on the day, especially on Saturday night.
Sugarfactory house rules
- No re-entry, and no entry in the last two hours: by our count, 05:00 for the night shows (04:00 new clock at Adriatique), 19:30 for the daytime ones.
- ID: 18+ with government-issued ID, and the name on the ticket must match it.
- No Phone Policy: Awakenings ties it to the move to this venue and asks you to "dance with the music, not with your phone". Phones are still allowed in; camera glasses, selfie sticks and professional cameras are not.
- Zero tolerance: no drugs of any kind, including cannabis, mushrooms and nitrous oxide. Everyone is searched, with metal detectors and cameras.
- Lockers: compulsory for bags and jackets, medium (EUR 12.25 online) or large (EUR 16.50), also sold on site.
- Tokens: from a cash desk, by card or cash. You get one free recycle token at entry; a lost token or cup costs EUR 2.50.
- Smoking: outdoors only, two packs of cigarettes at most.
If something goes wrong, purple posters carry a QR code that opens a WhatsApp chat with the on-site team, a "goodbye host" in a yellow vest stands at the entrance and exit, and EMS runs first aid.
Tickets, resale and Monday 19 October
Awakenings tickets are personalised: each person claims their own with name, email and date of birth, and the main buyer sends friends an invite link. Names can be swapped with the "Depersonalise" and "Invite" buttons until the tickets go out on Monday 19 October, when sealed e-tickets are emailed to main buyers. Tickets are non-refundable.
For the sold-out shows, the only second-hand route Awakenings accepts is its official partner TicketSwap, with SecureSwap: the seller's barcode is cancelled and the buyer gets a new ticket. Anything from social media risks a dead barcode. Our ADE 2026 resale guide covers the rest of the week.
Not to be confused with Club Annie on Lijnbaansgracht
Amsterdam used to have a club called Sugarfactory, on Lijnbaansgracht opposite Melkweg near Leidseplein. That room is now Club Annie: Melkweg soft-opened it "in the former Sugarfactory and Lovelee space across the street" in early October, as a two-year pilot programmed by Milou Zoer, and it opens officially during ADE with a 30-hour weekender at Lijnbaansgracht 238. Awakenings is about nine and a half kilometres west in a straight line. Give a driver the Halfweg address, not just the name.
Which Awakenings show to pick
If you have no ticket yet, I would book Adriatique: one act, five and a half hours, and a finish that meets the first Sunday train. Friday Sessions is the pick for techno all night, with Ben Klock and Philippa Pacho from 03:30. The sold-out Sunday closing night belongs to Prospa, the Leeds duo in our Prospa profile. For techno beyond Halfweg, see our ADE 2026 techno guide; the day-by-day ADE party guide puts Awakenings next to everything else each night; and from the UK, start with ADE from London.
