# How Much Does Clubbing Cost in London? Four Real Nights, Costed Line by Line

_Clubbing in London costs about £37 to £64 a head. Four real nights at fabric, Phonox, E1 and Drumsheds, costed from ticket, drinks, locker and TfL fares._

**Clubbing in London costs about £37 to £64 a head this autumn before booking fees, cloakroom and food: a ticket of £17 to £31, two drinks at around £15, and £5 to £10 of Tube, train or shuttle fares. I costed four real nights on sale now, at fabric, Phonox, E1 and Drumsheds, and the ticket tier you land on moves the total more than anything else. A black cab home can cost more than the ticket.** No averages here: every price is what the venue or its ticket agent listed at the time of writing, every fare is TfL's pay as you go fare for the real journey, and every night starts and ends at Highbury & Islington, a zone 2 station, so the four compare. Tiers sell out weekly, so treat the tickets as a late-September snapshot.

## A London club night at a glance

- **Ticket:** £16.90 to £31.10 for the tiers still on sale at these four; the "from" price on a listing is often a tier that has already gone.
- **Drinks:** none of these venues publishes a bar price list, so I use the London average for a pint of Asahi, £7.60, as a floor: £15.20 for two.
- **Travel:** £4.80 to £9.60 return from zone 2, including the Night Tube, which charges the normal off-peak fare.
- **Storage:** Drumsheds lockers are £9.40 plus a 50p fee; the other three do not publish a cloakroom price.
- **Where the money goes:** about half on the ticket, a quarter to two fifths on drinks, around a tenth on travel.

## Four nights, costed

  NightTicketTwo drinksTravel, returnLockerTotal
  fabric, Saturday 7 November£16.90 in by 11:30pm, £28.20 anytime£15.20£4.85 to £6.20Not published£36.95 to £49.60
  Phonox, Friday 20 November£25 in by 11:30pm, £30 anytime£15.20£6.20Not published£46.40 to £51.40

  Drumsheds, Saturday 7 NovemberFrom £29.50 plus booking fee£15.20£4.80 to £9.60£4.95 shared, £9.90 alone£54.45 to £64.20 plus fee

Two drinks is a deliberate floor. The Morning Advertiser's 2026 pint price survey puts a pint of Asahi in London at £7.60, up 95p on last year, and Peroni at £7.03; those are averages from a pub trade survey, not club prices. Four drinks adds another £15. The student version of this maths is in the [freshers clubbing guide](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/freshers-week-clubbing-2026-uk-guide/).

## fabric on a Saturday: the cheapest night if you arrive early

Marcel Dettmann, Ellen Allien and Shonky on Saturday 7 November, 23:00 to 07:00. On RA the early access tier at £11.30 has sold out, but "entry before 11:30pm" is £16.90 including the fee, "entry before 12am" £22.50, and the anytime releases run £28.20, £33.80 and £39.50. An "entry after 4am" tier is also £16.90, good value for the last three hours of a techno night. The trip is £3.10 out, Victoria line to King's Cross and the Circle line to Farringdon. At 07:05 on the Sunday TfL's planner offers two buses home on one £1.75 Hopper fare, or the Tube from 07:12 for £3.10. Arrive by 11:30pm, drink two, bus home: £36.95. Buy anytime and take the Tube: £49.60. Door rules and last entry are in how to get into fabric.

## Phonox on a Friday: the small room is not the cheap room

Ross From Friends and friends at Phonox in Brixton on Friday 20 November, 22:00 to 04:00. The listing says "£5+", and the £5.50 early bird did exist; it has sold out, as have the £13.80, £19.10 and £24.40 releases. What is left at the time of writing is £25 for entry before 11:30pm and £30 anytime. The Victoria line runs straight from Highbury & Islington to Brixton for £3.10, and at 04:00 the Night Tube runs back: TfL's planner shows trains at 04:17, 04:27 and 04:37 for £3.10. That makes £46.40 to £51.40: the small-room Friday costs about the same as fabric's anytime Saturday. A small room has fewer cheap tickets to sell, so they go first.

## E1 on a Friday: a techno night and the release ladder

Music Reactions x Teletech on Friday 13 November, 22:00 to 06:00, last entry typically 03:00. Teletech's own events page still shows £16 and £18.40 for this date; on RA the £18.40 first release has sold out and the next tiers are £25.30 and £31.10, with a £40.30 VIP ticket for fast entry. E1 is in Wapping, and the Windrush line runs from Highbury & Islington to Shadwell in 16 minutes for £3.10. At 6am the same line is running again, with trains at 06:06, 06:13 and 06:22 in the planner. Bars are card and contactless only. Total £46.70 to £52.50. Every other Teletech date this autumn, with prices, is in the [Teletech tour guide](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/teletech-uk-autumn-2026-dates-prices-which-night/).

## Drumsheds on a Saturday: the day rave has the most extras

Worried About Henry on Saturday 7 November, 12:00 to 22:30, three rooms, 18+, from £29.50 plus a booking fee the event page does not state. The extras are where Drumsheds differs. Bags larger than A4 are refused and storage is e-lockers, which the venue says are for coats and jackets too: it lists a medium at £9.40 plus a 50p fee, big enough for two to share, and a large at £12.70 plus 50p. The venue is cashless, and there are free water points, two on each level. The cheapest way there is the train: the Victoria line to Tottenham Hale and Greater Anglia on to Meridian Water is £2.40 each way. The Victoria line and the £5 return shuttle costs £9.60 for the day. After the 22:30 close, TfL's planner for 7 November shows trains back towards Tottenham Hale at 22:35 and 23:05, and the shuttle runs until an hour after the event. Train and a shared locker: £54.45 plus fee. Shuttle and your own locker: £64.20. The locker costs more than the train. The season, room by room, is in the [Drumsheds season guide](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/drumsheds-2026-season-lineup-dates-tickets/).

## The WHP trip from London

For contrast, Klangkuenstler at The Warehouse Project on Saturday 14 November, 21:00 to 04:00, a WHP and Teletech co-promotion, is listed at £35 on Teletech's site; Teletech's 28 November date at Depot Mayfield is £66.95. In Manchester the ticket is the cheap part: train fares from Euston move as seats sell, so I have not put a number on them, and a 4am finish usually means a bed. The [WHP versus Drumsheds comparison](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/warehouse-project-vs-drumsheds-2026/) has the travel side in full.

## The cab home, in TfL's own numbers

TfL's fare card from 25 April 2026 gives typical black cab fares by tariff. The night tariff runs every night from 22:00 to 05:00: two miles costs £13.60 to £20.40, four miles £23 to £35, six miles £41 to £45, and booking by phone or app can add up to £2. From 05:00 at weekends tariff 2 applies, and four miles is £23 to £32. One cab can double any night in the table. Plan the route home before you pick the club: the Victoria line runs all night on Fridays and Saturdays, and fabric points people to Chancery Lane, where the Central line does the same. The city-wide version of that plan is in how to get home after clubbing in London.

## Where the money goes

Across the four nights the ticket is 46% to 59% of the total, two drinks are 24% to 41%, and travel is 9% to 15%. The decision that matters is the tier, and that depends on when you buy and when you arrive, not which club you pick. Club tickets are still a different market from gigs: Santander's Gigflation study in June put the average ticket to see an artist live at £128, up 212% since the early 2000s, with 71% of concert-goers saying rising costs make them think twice and fans saying they are willing to spend an average of £417 a year on gigs. That is concert and festival data, not clubs. A club night is still the cheaper night out; [why clubbing got expensive](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/minimal-house-expensive-clubbing-2026/) covers the other end of the market. What the Budget might do to any of these prices, which is less than you would think, is in the [pre-Budget explainer](https://www.mneemo.com/blog/budget-2026-nightclubs-business-rates-explained/).

## How I would spend less

- **Buy the time-limited tier and keep to it:** fabric's "before 11:30pm" is £11.30 less than the anytime ticket on the same night.
- **Buy early:** seven to eight weeks before the night, the cheapest tiers at Phonox and E1 were already gone.
- **Use late entry:** fabric's after 4am ticket is £16.90 on a Saturday.
- **Do the fabricfirst maths:** £10 a month with a three-month minimum, £10 off at the door and a £16.90 members' tier on RA. If you would otherwise buy one anytime ticket a month, it pays for itself.
- **Share the Drumsheds locker and take the train:** £4.95 each and £4.80 return, against £9.90 and £9.60 on your own.
- **Pick a club on a Night Tube line:** the difference between a £3.10 fare and a £23 to £35 cab is bigger than any ticket tier.

## FAQ

**How much does clubbing cost in London?**

About £37 to £64 a head for a ticket, two drinks and public transport from zone 2, costed on four real nights this autumn at fabric, Phonox, E1 and Drumsheds. Add booking fees, cloakroom, food and any extra drinks.

**How much is a ticket to fabric?**

For Saturday 7 November, RA lists £16.90 for entry before 11:30pm, £22.50 before midnight, and anytime tiers of £28.20, £33.80 and £39.50, all including the fee. A student tier and an after 4am tier are £16.90.

**How much is a drink in a London club?**

These venues do not publish bar prices. The London average for a pint of Asahi is £7.60 and Peroni £7.03, according to the Morning Advertiser's 2026 survey; treat that as a floor.

**How much are lockers at Drumsheds?**

The venue FAQ lists a medium locker at £9.40 plus a 50p fee, for one or two people, and a large at £12.70 plus 50p. Individual event pages can differ: the Terminal V page listed £9 plus 90p.

**How much is the Night Tube?**

The same as the off-peak pay as you go fare: £3.10 from Brixton to Highbury & Islington, for example. It runs on Friday and Saturday nights, including the Victoria line.

**How much is a taxi home after a club in London?**

On TfL's night tariff, 22:00 to 05:00, a black cab costs £13.60 to £20.40 for two miles, £23 to £35 for four and £41 to £45 for six, plus up to £2 if booked by phone or app.

**Why is the "from" price on a club listing lower than what I pay?**

Because it is the first tier, and first tiers sell out. Phonox listed "£5+" with a £5.50 early bird that had gone; the cheapest ticket left was £25.
